The latest video to come out that we have made has been for Soundgarden bass player, Ben Shepherd and his new solo project that goes by “HBS”. For the release of his album “In Deep Owl” i was asked to shoot a video of him playing an accoustic version of the track “Collide”. It was a great intimate shoot and with the help of Paul Lorkowski on a second camera and Nate Yaccino capturing audio we got some amazing footage. Not only was i lucky enough to create this video for an artist i have been a fan of for meany years but to double down on that Rolling Stone dot com premiered the video exclusively. Not a bad place for a video release.
Seattle’s own The Stranger showed a little love for the mural on Neumos and the mini doc. http://lineout.thestranger.com/lineout/archives/2013/07/11/the-art-of-an-album-brent-amaker-and-the-rodeo-takashi-okazaki
For the release of the new mini doc “Tenth and Pike” BlackBookMag was chosen to premiere the film to the greater world wide web. The film follows the creation of a mural on the side of Seattle’s Neumos and interviews the artists involved.
Scared of Genre was given the opportunity of documenting Seattles SMooCH benefit at the end of 2012 that was created as a way to raise funds for Seattle Childrens Hospital. It was a great night with amazing Seattle bands coming out to perform for a sold out Triple Door show. One of the bands on the night was STAG. I got together with some band members after the show and it was decided to produce a live video for one of the songs off their current album “Chameleon”. We chose to shoot the CD release show at Barboza and add it to the footage we had to showcase the energy that the band give when performing live. Here is the new video. We are excited to showcase more great Seattle music. -Brad
I was approached by Walking Papers’ Jefferson Angell to help out with some up-coming live music videos. It just so happened that they were going to be playing on Seattle’s KEXP radio station. As it happens i volunteer there from time to time and was able to be part of the Shooting crew and then edit the session. I have been part of quite a few sessions at KEXP up till this point and i have to say that i was truly taken by the performance. KEXP uploaded the session to their youtube page and now i have the chance to share it with you all. I posted the entire set on my main page but here are the individual songs for easy consumption. I will hopefully have an update and new video that we have already shot and are just getting into post-production on, in the not too distant […]
